I know I'm a little late, but perhaps you can reference this again next year.
For Christians, Resurrection Day should be the most important day of the year.
Forget the Easter Bunny, forget the Easter Egg Hunt, forget the belly-stuffing Easter brunch. Forget all the jellybeans, the chocolate. It is all a great tradition, but today we should all be on our knees, thanking God for sending His Son to die for us, and then conquering Sin and rising again. Again, one of the most familiar verses in the Bible, John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, will not perish, but will inherit Eternal Life." Isn't that awesome? And let's not forget that the reason He did this is because "God is love" 1 John 4:8. If God was not a loving God, we wouldn't be here in the first place, so we should be thankful. I won't take anymore of your time, so I'M OUT.
